Shawna, you look absolutely fantastic! Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. But your outfit is great, and I love the styling- the shoes, the scarf and you of course! I think this color looks very good on you. Maybe it's light. It's tricky. :)Your Mum is such a lovely beautiful lady! What a gift - your own little painting! And you are a mother of such a grown man, it's really hard to believe. Your son is very handsome. You are just a lovely family. Happy Mother's Day, dear!
Thank you Natalia! I think I can pull off the gold coloured shawl because I am also wearing navy blue near my face. I love that shawl and refuse to abandon it. I think my mum is really beautiful and gets more so all the time. And of course my son is the apple of my eye! I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day too!xo
I think my comment was swallowed by Google +. So just in case, that is a gorgeous nightgown! I love the waist detail. A double Mother's Day is always good, but sad that you were tired. Hope you managed to enjoy it anyway. Lovely card! Jazz
Google sometimes does that. Thank you for admiring my nightgown. LOL I did have a lovely time, as I didn't have to do much other than eat and enjoy the company of my favourite people.
Wohoo, the son is a hottie! :D And your mom is so lovely! ^_^I adore your poses Shawna, they're so sassy! And I think the shawl looks magnificent on you, I love the color and length, at first I thought it was a sweater!
Well I know I'm his mother so I'm biased but I'm inclined to agree, Keit. He's kind of got an intellectual hunk thing going. He is also a total sweetie. You have no idea, or maybe you do, how difficult it is to pull off sassy when you are quite camera shy as I am. LOL. don't think I'm clever enough to turn that shawl into a sweater but I can make it a wrap skirt!xo
I love that you didn't give a feck!! I often don't! Handsome son and gorgeous mother you have, no wonder you are so lovely. Good genes one thinks!
So many fecks are not given! Thank you for your sweet words, Sue.
Well I can certainly see the family resemblance through the generations ... you're like three peas in a pod :0)xx
LOL-yes we do look rather alike. I am not quite as muscular as my son.xo
I think this is one of my favourite outfits of yours ever! That striped maxi dress is gorgeous on you, it shows off your fantastic figure and the shawl adds a arty, hippy vibe to the look and did I mention your smile? Beautiful! Your Mum and your handsome son are so very much like you, I bet she loved that amazing card. xxx
It is really difficult to find a maxi that fits me properly but I was very excited when I found this one! Arty-hippie is, I suppose, the look that is most me. I like it. Now I have a name for my style or at least the style I am aiming for. Thanks! xo
Love the photos of you with your mum and son - what a good-looking family you are! The dress is wonderful, you look great, and I have to disagree about yellow not suiting you, I think it does! Hope you had a happy Mother's Day. xxx
I think the yellow works okay with the help of the navy blue. If it's the only colour next to my face it isn't the best, but I love that shawl so I insist on wearing it anyhow. I often use it as a scarf in winter too and I have the idea that I can turn it into a wrap skirt. I think I would just wrap myself in it every day if I could.xo
Hi Shawna!I have been out of service for a while i had a nasty concussion after a fall - Wanting to tell you that i looked at your blog often and enjoyed it very much, especially the drawings of fellow bloggers Looking great for Mother's day, me too had dinner with my son and motherHugsAriane
Hi Ariane, I am so sorry you had a concussion and a fall. I hope you are okay now. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. I hope your Mother's Day was great and that you are well on the mend. Hugs right back to you!xo
again a totally fabulous outfit!!!that "nightgown" is very beautiful on you - red and yellow accents act like energy booster!and what a handsome son you have! and your gorgeous mum! I would get up from my deathbed to go out with them.xxxx
Thank you Beate. My wardrobe is slowly improving and developing to suit my new life and the real me. My confidence in front of the camera is improving too, or at least my ability to fake it. My son and parents are the most lovely people and I love being with them. We go out together often actually and really enjoy each others' company.
Lovely outfit! I really think it works well with that yellow shawl. Your son and mother are just as lovely as you!
Awww thanks, Sara. My son and parents are a great joy in my life. I can hardly believe I am the mother of an adult! LOLxo
Shawna, the waistline details of this dress are lovely and you look superb in it! You have a very handsome son. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
Thanks, Glenda. I really fell for the waistline detail on the dress too. I love both the way it looks and how comfortable it is.I hope you had a great Mother's Day too.
Happy belated Mother's Day!!!!
Thank you! I hope yours was great too!!!
Shawna you look lovely in that frock. Great card you made for your mum and lovely photos of you all. Hope you all enjoyed the meal out. xx
Thanks, Jayne! We did all have a lovely time!xo
Awwwwwwww Shawna, what a beautiful collection of pics of such a special day! That's a nightgown? No way! But I most heartily approve I must say! My nightie collection hangs proudly among my frocks and there's no way anyone will ever convince me they're not pretty enough to wear out. Your son is gorgeous and so clearly takes after his lovely Mum. And what about your Mum? Beautiful!! xoxoxo
LOL-well it's not really a nightgown but it feels like one. I agree though, some nightgowns are gorgeous and should be seen by the light of day and all the neighbours! xoxox
Hey you! sorry I'm so blooming late! I think you look absolutely wonderful in your striped dress and wrap, I also love you don't give a feck too! you are such a good looking family! your Mum is beautiful (she looks like Meryl Streep) and your son, so handsome - I hope you had a lovely Mothers Day Shawna x x x
My peachy dear, please do not apologise! I got a bit behind in my blog reading and holy hannah what a job to get caught up. Not that it wasn't fun but I felt a bit guilty taking all that time. I think you're right! There is a sort of Meryl Streep look to mum. She is giving me hard time for smiling with my mouth closed but I think my teeth are goofy. LOLxoxox
Phew, I don't have to apologise for being late. Long dresses are perfect on you but I still want to see you in shorter dresses cause i'm sure you have great legs. I don't mean to push you ,I just give you options to explore in the summer! It's lovely you enjoy each other's company. I have to say that your son looks a lot like you and his grandmother who is such a lovely lady. I can't believe she's giving you a hard time. But then she is a mother ....and we all give hard times to our kids I hope not often!
Oh I do have some shorter skirts too, but mostly I've been too cold to wear them. I'm wearing one today. I am not sure how I gave you the impression mum is giving me a hard time. She definitely isn't! She is so sweet and helpful and does a lot for me. I am very lucky to have her! My son is very sweet too, and so are the other members of my small family who aren't in the photos. We are a sweet family going about the world giving everyone cavities. :-)xoxo
I LOVE the fact that you painted a card for your Mom! What a lovely family. Hope you have gotten some energy back now. The dress is fab! bisousSuzanne
She likes them so I always do it. It's a little bit like how I did that when I was a little girl. Then one grows up and wants to step away from everything that seems childish. Perhaps I am in my second childhood now!xoxo
Just getting caught up on posts and comments, and I'm so glad I came back to this one. First of all, I love that dress, and the shawl and shoes are nice accents. Your son is a handsome young man, and your mother is beautiful!
Thanks Val! I've gotten behind lately on reading blogs too. I suppose it's possible I'm biased, but I too happen to think my son is handsome and my mother beautiful! What the hell happened to me? LOL ;-)
I love visitors and I love comments. I will try my best to respond to everyone! Thanks for stopping by.
