Ten Photos in Ten Minutes

It's a beautiful sunny day and the sun pouring in the windows inspired me to grab my camera.  I became intrigued with the bright corners and dark ones.  I was making myself a coffee so I began in the kitchen but soon was zipping around the place like a paparazzi hell bent on a bikini photo of Jennifer Anniston which proves absolutely that she is not over Brad Pitt and longs to be pregnant but Justin is going to leave her.

So...

  2. I love this series on your blog! I think it's a great idea and it's fun to see all the details which can be lost in interior photos. Here they are heroes with their own characters, in their own little world. Old books are especially cozy. Sophie manages to always look her best! Cats! :)

I need to show you my latest doodles in return! :)

    1. OH yes doodles! I must see them!

I love close up photos and often crop them even after I have zoomed in. I have so many things, so many nooks and crannies and objects it is fun to remember those details. My stack of hardcover books includes old, very old and new. The really old one in the pic of Sophie is an English Boarding school Literature Textbook that had belonged to my uncle but was probably an old copy even when he obtained it. I always take the dust jackets off my hardcovers as I love the soft muted colours of the covers underneath.

  4. *Member of Sophie's fanclub applauds* (that's me) hehe! I'm sure she's posing, she's fabulous! I do like a good nosey round and you have such interesting things - the book 'womens encyclopedia of myths and legends' is flaming brilliant and your clock! it is so comforting and familiar to me (I'm trying to place it now) your wool jar is so pretty too x x x

    1. She loves to pose for the camera and always gets right in there when I take photos.

The women's encyclopedia is awesome! I highly recommend it. The wool jar is so that when I knit the ball of wool stays in there and Sophie can't attack it. I tend to stuff the leftover bits in there too because they look pretty.

  6. I need a knitting jar! I just use a shopping bag, easy to grab and go, but not pretty at all! Loove the women's encyclopaedia of secrets...ooh! The African violet reminds me of my PNG childhood, and mum attacking aphids with nail polish remover I think. The light on the pink flower whose name I don't know is lovely. Hope your day is great.xo JJ

  8. I forgot to say thanks for your lovely comment about my clothes! The leggings are from https://blackmilkclothing.com/collections/leggings It's an Australian company but I think they now have an overseas outlet. You can buy online, but beware they are addictive! Mine are fleece lined, but they also do Hamlet in normal leggings. Have fun! :-D
